I have two theories on what happened to Wong after being trapped in the past.
- The first one is that he somehow escaped the Dark Hand's clutches and decided to find something in the Lotus Temple to become magical again. He even found a way to get rid of the temple guardian, which was the greedy monk Jackie, Jade, and Xu Lin defeated. After that, Wong searched for the scroll the temple was guarding, unaware that Chan already destroyed it, and when he couldn't find it in time before the sun rises, Daolon became the new victim of the curse of the guardian of the Lotus Temple. And that's how the greedy monk was able to escape and join forces with every relic thief Jackie ever defeated in the second season.
- My other theory is that Valmont killed Daolon Wong under Shendu's orders just for wasting time. And with blood of a former Chi Wizard on the blade of a weapon confiscated by Section 13, Uncle created a potion to bring Shendu to full form, which allowed him to fight his son Drago.
