When Jackie was a child he moved from Hong Kong to live with Uncle in San Fransico (As Jade did with Jackie.) While in San Fransico Jackie was trained in many forms of martial arts by Uncle. Jackie also attended the same school that Jade goes to.

Jackie Chan is an archaeologist who lives in San Francisco with his uncle, Uncle. Jackie is forced to help his old friend Captain Black of Section 13 to stop the Dark Hand from trying to obtain the talismans. The talismans possess magical powers which during the entire series was a conflict between Captain Black and his superiors. Jackie is skilled in many different forms of martial arts. Jackie would prefer not to fight and resolve a conflict with words, unless he has no other choice. Jackie was also forced to fight the Oni King, Tarakudo, the Dark Chi wizard, Daolon Wong, and Shendu's son Drago.

His catchphrases include "Bad day, bad day, bad day, BAD DAY!", "Talk later!", "I'm sorry, I'll bring it back later, thank you!" and "That's crazy, Jade! You're crazy!" When he is shocked or dumbfounded, he makes a strange but sound, "Bwaaahh!”

On the show, Jackie hasn't shown any of his relationships with women, but has shown a brief interest in his J-Team teammate Viper.
